Founded in 1983, Quidlibet Research Inc. provides highly specialized consulting services specializing in private law firms, corporate law departments and law-related organizations. In an arena that often eludes accounting and operations executives, Quidlibet has the expertise and experience to manage and reduce research costs and introduce improvements in research operations.

Led by its founder, Nina Cunningham, Quidlibet pioneered the practice of legal research cost reduction and today is a recognized expert and leader in the field. Over the years, the firm has expanded its advisory services to address the overall distribution of knowledge-based services in legal organizations. These services can positively affect a range of activities including practice planning, marketing, new service design, contract management, fee structure and general operations.

Our Founder and CEO

For over 30 years, Nina Cunningham has worked with law firms and corporate law departments to make legal research more strategic, efficient and affordable. She possesses a breadth of knowledge and experience in strategic planning, cost management and business process improvement.

Ms. Cunningham began her career at the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as a management analyst and administrator. Through her responsibility for the court's library, she developed an expertise with computerized legal research. Her work in training lawyers and judges to use the online systems led to the founding of her research service firm.

At Quidlibet, she has assisted business executives, law firms, and others in using and integrating online research tools, with a special focus on reducing the costs of online legal research contracts.

Ms. Cunningham has published a monograph on Managing the Law Library, and has written numerous articles on legal research and the legal profession. She has presented workshops on Online Legal Research for law firms and law-related organizations nationwide.

Prior to starting Quidlibet Research, Inc. Dr. Cunningham, served as a management analyst with the Federal Courts in Chicago, and owned a legal and business information brokerage service.
